The Knights of St. John International recently came together in support of members of Commandery 1042, Austin, Texas, following two losses within the Commandery.
A Brother Knight of Comm 1042 recently lost his wife. During the Service of Songs, members of the Order were present to stand with him and presented a check on behalf of the brotherhood as a sign of support.
The Commandery also mourns with its President, Brother Jude Aririesike, who recently lost his father. Although his father was a 4th Degree Knight of St. Mulumba, the Nigerian Supreme Subordinate Commandery showed strong support for Brother Aririesike and his family.
In attendance were:
- Major General Chux Joachim Amamgbo, SSS Nigerian
- Former SSS Major General Remy Uche
- Brig General Anthony Ogu, Grand President, Owerri Grand Commandery (home Commandery of Brother Aririesike)
- Brigadier General PMC Okeke, Grand President, Port Harcourt Grand Commandery
- Along with other members of the Nigerian SSC hierarchy
Their presence reflects the strong ties within the Order and the support our members provide one another, both locally and across jurisdictions.
Moments like these remind us what the brotherhood looks like in practice—showing up, standing together, and supporting one another when it matters most.
