Sexagesima Sunday
It is with a firm sense of duty and fraternal joy that we announce the further expansion of our ranks. On Sexagesima Sunday, within the sacred precincts of St. Francis de Sales Oratory in St. Louis, Missouri, our Commandery gathered for the formal investiture of two new brothers into our military fraternity.
The Oratory, a spiritual home for Roman Tradition under the direction of the Institute of Christ the King, Sovereign Priest (ICKSP), provided a most fitting backdrop. With the gracious permission and spiritual paternity of the Rev. Canon Benjamin Coggeshall, our newest members were welcomed and received a traditional Roman blessing. This rite took place in the narthex, witnessed by a curious and eager assembly of the faithful.
We are honored to present our newest Brothers-in-Arms:
Sir Knight Michael Stamos
Sir Knight Ethan Westbrook
The installation was conducted by Sir Knight Elliot Huber and Maj. Gen. Anthony Ryan, President of St. Joseph Commandery 973.
Following their installation, these men immediately took up their post. It was our distinct privilege to provide a processional escort, a protective guard for the Most Blessed Sacrament, and a recessional escort during the High Mass. In an age that often forgets the reverence due to the King of Kings, our Knights stood as a vanguard of honor for the Holy Eucharist.
St. Joseph Commandery 973 continues its strategic growth across the Midwest. We remain committed to our “remote” mission—deploying our fraternity and service wherever the authentic mission of the Church is most cherished.
