After six years, thanks to the Pandemic, Knights of St John International, finally gathered.

The M-hotel in Buffalo, New York, United States, came alive with officers, commanders, and delegates of the Knights of St John International from all over the world. The event was the 82nd International 56th Biennial Convention of the Order, for the election of officers, with the theme “never give up on God’s mercy.”

At the end of the elections, the following brothers were elected to pilot the affairs of the Noble Order: General Thomas Deluca (Supreme President), Lt. Gen Martin Bella (1st Vice President), Lt. Gen. Patrick Igwilo (2nd Vice President) Lt. Gen Chijioke (CJ) Okafor (Supreme Secretary), Lt. Gen Terrence McCann (Treasurer), Maj. General Donatus Anigbogu (Trustee USA), and Maj. General Gerald Ganda (Trustee Overseas).

Advisors to the Supreme Board were also appointed: Monsignor Federico A. Britto (Supreme Spiritual Director), Doug Halleaux (Inspector General), and Maj. Gen. Aagon Tingba (Supreme Counsel).

Also appointed were undersecretaries and others that include: Maj. Gen. Matt Trossman (Quartermaster General), Brig. Gen. Michael I. Days (Journal), Brig. Gen. Andrew Voce (Website), Brig. Gen. Tim Redinger (ritual), Brig. Gen. Francis Kollie (Secretary, Supreme Advisory Board), and Brig. Gen. Peter Ozemoya (asst. Secretary Supreme advisory board).

There were executive board meetings, advisory board meetings, memorial mass, knights business meeting, banquet, and it was all crowned with Eucharistic mass Celebration.

Speaking during the Convention, the immediate past Supreme President, General Frank Waseleski told brothers that “we are about the future, not the past” while the Supreme Secretary, encouraged “let us go far together.”

The Convention, though scaled down to only Presidents, Commanders, and Supreme Delegates was quite an exciting and successful one. Supreme President General Thomas Deluca was full of praise for the Organizing committee.

God willing, the full convention will return in 2026 and be held in Newark, New Jersey, USA.
